Saint Peter’s University students, faculty and staff,

On behalf of the Editorial Board of the Saint Peter’s Tribune, I would like to welcome you all back to campus for the start of the fall semester, our sesquicentennial and, more importantly, for the resumption of in-person activities after 18 months at home.

Many things have changed since our initial closure in March of 2020. The pandemic has affected all of us in ways we couldn’t have imagined.

For better or worse, we as a community have come to evolve to the conditions imposed on us by this pandemic. And although we are not out of the woods yet, the light has begun to peek over the horizon and show us a new era of hope for the future and a new beginning.

I know that for all of us, those returning and those taking their first steps on campus, that this year will bring nothing but blessings. I know that for all of us who are now attempting to restart our lives after this isolation, that we will hit the ground running.

Like all of you, the Saint Peter’s Tribune has also evolved.

We have changed our title to better reflect and to be a better advocate for our ever diverse and thriving student body. We have switched to a mostly online platform to deliver content more accustomed and accessible to our audience.

What has not changed is our commitment to provide our readers with relevant, accurate and fair coverage of campus life. Our commitment is

Our commitment is to share your stories and show our readers, both on and off campus, how beautiful the Saint Peter’s University community is.

We are excited to fully resume our reporting, and for being able to work with you all, face-to-face, as we tackle this new year together.

If you have any stories that you believe should be shared, or you would like to join our team of committed writers, please reach out to me or visit our office on the fifth floor of the MacMahon Student Center.

My email is mrotundo18@saintpeters.edu.

I cannot wait to see you all on campus!

Mark Rotundo,

Editor in Chief of the Saint Peter’s Tribune
